The MG Hector is a popular midsize SUV that takes on rivals such as the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, and Mahindra XUV700. The British carmaker recently confirmed the launch of a facelift for the Hector and will soon be announcing details about it. However, recent spy shots seem to show that this new iteration was recently seen without any camouflage and we have everything you need to know about it.
MG Hector Facelift
The Hector facelift starts with an updated front fascia that has a large diamond-mesh grille, new and more aggressive-looking front bumpers and new triangular headlamps. The SUV will also be available in Plus trim which offers a similar headlight setup.
The new Hector SUV is anticipated to include subtle changes such as redesigned LED tail lights, updated alloy wheels, and more.
There will also be more noteworthy updates on the inside with a new infotainment system that includes both Apple Car Play and Android Auto in addition to Next-Gen i-Smart tech by MG.

The vehicle will also get a new instrument cluster and revised dashboard layout. Plus, the AC vents are now positioned horizontally to improve airflow.
Safety features will be improved with ADAS, which offers features like blind spot detection, forward collision warning, lane departure warning. Other safety features include multiple airbags and more.
The upcoming MG Hector facelift will come standard with three engine options: a 143-hp 1.5L turbo petrol, 143-hp 1.5L turbo mild hybrid petrol, and a 170-hp 2.0L diesel engine. Likewise, similar gearbox options will be offered to buyers.
The British classic carmaker is likely to release the Hector facelift in early 2023. It will be positioned above the Hector and will be around 1.5-2.5 lakh more expensive than the current iteration.
The Hector will continue to compete with Tata's Harrier and Mahindra's XUV700, which both sell for less.
