Honda's compact SUV is finally here. This car has been on the market for a while, but we're always excited when it finally gets to India. It's time for specs and pricing details -
2023 Honda WR-V SUV Launched In Indonesia
Based on the SUV RS concept, we were supposed to see a production model in 2022. What Honda showed us was a camouflaged prototype. A long session of teasing and keeping its bare metal away from prying eyes made it difficult to finally reveal the Honda WR-V SUV.
Right off the bat, it measures 4060 mm that competes with Perodua Ativa, Daihatsu Rocky and Toyota Raize. It is a lot less flamboyant than the RS concept SUV that was showcased at the 2021 GIIAS. As a whole, Honda WR-V SUV design works. It's easy to visually see, and we're sure it'll have an impact on people who are interested in purchasing one.
The Honda Civic is a car with an interesting look. It has chrome-laden LED reflector-type headlight units and fog lamps, a chrome strip on top of the grille in addition to an RS badge adorning it. The Honda logo is also integrated into the grille design.

WR-V has a subtle appearance and won’t divide opinion. It’s available in RS trim, which gets LED headlights, sequential turn indicators, a 4.2” MID in the instrument cluster, automatic climate control, auto folding mirrors, auto door lock, leather-wrapped steering and gear knob.
Specs & Pricing
Honda's world-class SUV is chock-full of features, including a 2.4-litre petrol engine that produces 161hp, a 5-speed automatic transmission or manual transmission with 7-speed DCT Sport AWD, and stunning 17-inch alloys on the RS trim.
It gets advanced driver assistance technologies like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation system, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification System, Auto High Beam and LaneWatch.
The interior is strikingly similar to the Honda Amaze, including its 7-inch touchscreen unit. This could reveal that the Honda WR-V is likely coming to India in the near future. It'll be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 121 PS at 6,600 RPMs and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 RPMs.
If Honda is looking to compete with the likes of Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian SUVs market, it might introduce the WR-V SUV in 1.2L petrol trim with all the features needed for Indian users.
