Cuttack Development Authority
The Cuttack Development Authority was constituted under Housing and Urban Development Department Notification No: 37634/HUD, dated 31.08.1983, following the rules of the Orissa Development Authorities Act, 1982 with effect from 01.09.1983.
The committee recommended expanding the city, beyond the existing protective embankment of Kathajori and Mahanadi, in a triangle to the Bidanasi area, which will provide about 2000 acres of land for this purpose. It was entrusted to CDA, who soon thereafter took up The Bidanasi Triangle Development Project comprising 15 sectors divided into residential, institutional and commercial sectors.
