The Jaipur Development Authority was created by the Government of Rajasthan for the people of Jaipur. Jaipur Development Authority is authorized to combat, with a vision to manoeuvre and adjust to growing requirements of a large city in wake of growing population. The Jaipur Development Authority has taken up an ambitious project to restore the historical Dravyawati River in Jaipur. The river, which passes through Jaipur and had started being known as Amanishah Nallah, is gradually being restored to its old, clean glory with this very project.
The restoration is starting at Nahargarh Hill and ending on the south side of Jaipur converging into Dhond River. Under the project, 84 check dams will be constructed along with walking and cycling tracks on both sides of the embankment. A green space will also be created for recreation and relaxation.
5 Sewerage Treatment Plants with a total capacity of 170 MLD will also be incorporated within the project with 3 gardens along the route. Along with all this, a Project Experience Centre that educates about details concerning the project will also be part of this endeavour. The work on this project has already been executed until 10th April 2018 for approx Rs. 930 Cr., making it targeted for completion by 15th August 2018.
